Young Women Leaders Connect

Young Women Leaders Connect is a Pan-African young women-led organization that’s committed to harnessing the leadership and voice of young women for change. Founded on the key pillars of network building, advocacy, skilling & mentorship, tech & politics, our work equips girls and young women with the skills, confidence, and platforms needed to voice their concerns, influence policies, and lead initiatives that drive change.

The young women believe that the young people are not just victims of the society’s challenges but are key players in decision making and advancing change.

National Young Women Leaders Conference

In 2021, we hosted a National Young Women Leaders Conference at the University of Nairobi, reaching over 300 leaders for an inter-generational dialogue on women leadership. The event served as a platform to learn from women leaders in diverse spheres while also offering an opportunity for young women leaders to contribute to the agenda.

Created a trusted platform for mentorship, networking and visibility for young women in leadership.
Birthed 10+ grassroot young women-led initiatives championing for change in the communities.
Reached 5,000+ girls in schools and communities through mentorship and supported with over 3000 dignity kits through sheRise program.
Linked about 200 young women entrepreneurs to small grants, loans and business training.
Hosted the 2021 National Young Women Leaders Conference.
Submitted to the National Assembly, a memo on Children’s Bill 2021, from which some of the recommendations were adopted in the Children’s Bill. Done in collaboration with Legal Sister.
Served at the IEBC Women’s Coordinating Committee on elections. Accredited as Kenya’s election observers and voter education provider.
Selected for the KUZA Social Entrepreneurship Incubator by the Ubuntu Development Solutions and the Project Circle by Giving Women.
