Robert Nicholas Akeche is a Computer Science graduate and program management professional dedicated to using technology and data for social impact. He earned his BSc in Computer Science from Egerton University and has pursued extensive professional training, including an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and specialized credentials as a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) and a Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA) from the Corporate Finance Institute (in partnership with ALX). Robert also completed courses through HP LIFE in Data Science & Analytics, Effective Leadership, and Agile Project Management, and he holds a certificate in Planning for Monitoring & Evaluation from Philanthropy University (in partnership with FHI360). This diverse expertise equips him to blend technical innovation with effective leadership.

career

Robert’s career has focused on information systems, monitoring, and evaluation in the non-profit sector. From 2018 to 2022, he served as the ICT/M&E Officer for Women and Youth for Social Justice – The Campaign (formerly the Young Women Campaign Against AIDS), where he integrated data-driven insights and technology solutions to strengthen programs benefiting youth, women and communities. In 2022, he advanced to Program Manager at the same organization, leading strategic planning, implementation, and team development to expand its reach and impact.

Beyond his organizational roles, Robert contributes to youth leadership and empowerment as a member of the Board of Directors for Young Women Leaders Connect (since 2023). In this capacity, he helps guide the organization’s strategic direction and mentorship initiatives to nurture young leaders. His vision is to empower the next generation by bridging technical innovation with community development. He is passionate about collaboration, mentorship, and evidence-based approaches, and he continues to seek opportunities to make a meaningful difference in society.
